- Jeff VanderMeer visits the Bat Segundo podcast.
- David Moles asks for some recommendations for and opinions about what writers writing for adults can learn from YA books. And the SF Signal is discussing similar issues.
- Copy editor Deanna Hoak, who witnessed the grope, has a very thoughtful post on social pressure and why nobody really did anything during the ceremony.
- Erin meditates on the things that one person in a relationship will just never do to make the other happy — hers is camping. It’s one of mine too! (Hiking a Very Long Way would be another, related one.)
- Chris Payne’s amazing gothic photos of old insane asylums. He also photographs substations. (Via the Witty Staircase.)
- Bones comes back tonight, the first returning show I actually like. It makes me very happy. I am SO in the mood for a night of TV sloth.

I love Bones! Sadly, I can no longer afford my cable until I get a job, so I’m hoping my rabbit ears can pull it in. Then I too will have a night of TV sloth, complete with Cup O’ Noodles and the knowledge that I have been turned down for YET ANOTHER job.
If I were more financially secure, I’d even buy ICE CREAM to help me wallow.
🙂
