It’s a little sad I know that with so much else to do all I really want to do is sit in front of the TV until I finish Veronica Mars Season 1. A little sad, but so true. A few tiny hangovers:
- Abigail Nussbaum on John Crowley’s collected short fiction.
- Tito notes that Ms. Laila Lalami, who will shortly be taking over the world if she keeps up the pace, has joined the Lady Writers Whose Hair Gets Mentioned in Interviews and Profiles Club.
- Greg R. Fishbone announces International Children’s Book Fortnight: "Your challenge would be to write a picture book, chapter book, middle grade or YA novel in the two week period between November 7 and November 20. (Giving you November 6th to recover from NaDruWriNi hangovers). This event is needed for two reasons: first, these books are often under 50,000 words and do not qualify for the NaNoWriMo challenge; and second, an entire month is too long to be hunched over a keyboard while our families forget who we are!"
- A WaPo piece on Edward Burtynsky’s arresting photographs, complete with gallery. How do you make tires so gorgeous? Or scrap metal?
I’m so with you on Veronica Mars. We watched it straight through in three nights. Happiness.
If only Mr. Rowe could take such televisional indulgence.
