And tonight we have:
Company Man. Matt Parkman and Ted Sprague arrive in Texas in search of answers and take HRG and his family hostage. More is revealed about Mr. Bennet, the agency for which he works, and how he found Claire.
And the West Coast Avengers take center stage…
p.s. I’m really behind on email, but intend to catch up _before_ AWP.
The best episode I’ve seen so far without most of my favorite characters. Probably because of so much backstory. How long before Eric Roberts gets killed?
That was fun. I’m glad George Takei’s character will have a bigger role to play (and now I’m wondering what his game was when scoffed at the notion that Hiro had powers). Simone’s father was also apparently involved in this cabal. Now that I think about it, his last words were about how Peter and people like his were going to save the world.
HRG is the bomb. The big fat bomb. The good old big fat lovin’ bomb. He is not the a-bomb, or the a-hole, or associating as a friend of the scraggly-bearded a-bomb who walks among us.
Really, really good episode.
Did the Haitian say he answered to someone in Claire’s life whose authority superseded HRG’s, or did I misinterpret that?
He did, which could mean any number of things. I’m leaning towards Mrs. Petrelli or a not-dead Mr. Petrelli, for the simple reason that there is no way the Petrellis weren’t involved in the conspiracy – we already know Mr. Petrelli and Linderman had a relationship.
I’ve liked Bennett as a character for a long time, but I can’t say that this episode made me like him any more. He knew what he was getting into right from the start, and all the way to the end he made choices that no moral human being would make. The fact that his love for Claire overcomes his ambition has been his most interesting characteristic since he was introduced, but it’s not a significantly redeeming quality. He pretty much got what he deserved – maybe even got off easy.
